Campus Commerce Goes Mobile, Empowering Students, Business Officers

Smartphone app accesses student accounts, enables purchases and payments, allows data monitoring from almost anywhere.

LENEXA, Kan. – Campus commerce has reached a new evolutionary stage, with many of the myriad capabilities of a modern digital system now available to both users and managers via their smartphones.

TouchNet Information Systems, Inc., the recognized leader in campus commerce technology, is rolling out a smartphone app that is compatible with most smartphone systems and networks.

The new U.Commerce Mobile app lets campus constituents make payments on student accounts, browse the mobile mall to order merchandise or register for events, and make donations—all from the convenience of their web-based phones.

The same system allows business officers and other administrators to access and monitor system data from remote locations via most web-based smartphone networks.

“This is campus commerce when and where you want it,” said Daniel J. Toughey, president of TouchNet. “Mobile capability is what today’s students expect, and what campus commerce professionals require. There is a clear need in the marketplace for this capability, and U.Commerce Mobile fills that need.”

TouchNet U.Commerce Mobile is a strategic element of TouchNet U.Commerce—the broadest spectrum of commerce management solutions available to higher education today. Like all U.Commerce products, U.Commerce Mobile is secure and assures compliance with regulations and industry standards.
