Merchant fees associated with credit card tuition payments are a sizable overhead to most colleges and universities. Credit card transactions aren't going away, but in many circumstances, you can make credit card processing fees virtually disappear. With PayPath® Convenience Fee Service, colleges and universities can continue to offer constituents the option to pay tuition and fees via credit card. Payers using a special PayPath option to pay by credit card are charged an administrative and technology fee for using the service. PayPath then returns 100 percent of the original tuition amount to the institution, using the administrative and technology fee to cover the cost of merchant fees and special processing. |
|
PayPath is structured to ensure institutions remain compliant with card association rules and regulations. It also protects and enhances an institution's ability to offer lower-cost payment alternatives, such as ACH or ATM card debit, on campus. Unlike similar services, PayPath connects to the campus Student Information System in real-time to update student accounts. Students appreciate the immediate response to each payment action, while business office staff benefit from end-to-end automation.
Need to find a way around the costs and complications of credit card fees? Here's your path.
