Campus IDs

OneCard VIP Campus IDs gives students a broad range of permissions, privileges, and authorizations, all while syncing the related data with your student information system. It’s simple, integrated, and mobile.

Mobile Credentials

OneCard replaces traditional ID cards with mobile device-based credentials, enabling campus communities to provide the convenience of door access, event check-ins, and payments with declining balance functionality at students’ fingertips.

Mobile Student IDs in Apple Wallet — Now Available!

Students can add their mobile student ID to their Apple Wallet through TouchNet’s OneCard Campus ID solution, giving them entry into dorms, access to the library, ability to buy lunch and purchase event tickets, and more — all with the tap of their iPhone or Apple Watch. Mobile student ID in Apple Wallet benefits students, faculty, and staff by enabling:

  • Remote provisioning of ID cards in Apple Wallet
  • Secure transactions and contactless transactions using NFC (Near field communication)
  • Streamlined Integrated Card Lifecycle Management for easy credential activation and suspension.

Visit the Mobile Student ID in Apple Wallet page for additional details.

Checkin Options

From class attendance to permission-based access to labs and buildings, dorm and residence hall access, and sports and cultural events, OneCard gives students campuswide access.

By analyzing data generated through student check-ins and activity, administrators can gauge student attendance and engagement. Potential problems with balancing school and work or acclimating to campus life can be identified and addressed sooner, putting students more at ease and more aware of resources that can help them avoid unnecessary withdrawals.

Additional OneCard credentialing uses:

  • Library checkouts
  • Equipment reservations and rental
  • Campus services management
  • Facility reservations
  • Vehicle registration

Declining Balance Options

While meal plans have used declining balances for decades, today’s declining balance cards offer uses and functions well beyond dining. Now you can issue students a “closed loop” card that functions like a credit card but avoids merchant card processing fees. Such cards provide parents with a convenient, trackable way to add money and monitor spending for maximum transparency and accountability.

Accepting campus cards as a payment method also centralizes payment and makes purchases more convenient for students, faculty, and staff, who avoid fees associated with traditional credit/debit card sales.

Additional OneCard declining balance uses:

  • Dining
  • Bookstore purchases
  • Ticket sales
  • Vending machines
  • Laundry facilities
  • Events
  • Copies and printing
  • Transportation
  • Parking
  • Ticket fines
